At AISL, we are dedicated to creating exceptional learning experiences within a global community where every voice matters. As part of this commitment, we integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) with mindfulness and purpose. We view AI as an evolving collaborator in education—shaped by human judgement, ethics, and oversight—one that strengthens creativity, equity, and innovation while preserving the human relationships that make learning deeply meaningful.

Guided by our core values of Respect, Empathy, Responsibility, Integrity, and Courage, we pledge to use AI in ways that spark inspiration, enhance learning, and uphold integrity—never as a replacement for human imagination, critical thinking, or connection.

AI can personalize learning, serve as a thought partner, and foster meaningful connections by helping learners explore ideas, experiment, and ask deeper questions. It enhances efficiency, accuracy, and feedback, giving students immediate, targeted insights that help them grow. Yet, we also recognize the risks—overreliance on AI, loss of personal connection, uncritical acceptance of information, and cognitive offloading, which can hinder creativity and authentic thinking. Therefore, we encourage both curiosity and skepticism: to see AI as a collaborator, not a crutch, and to always verify, reflect, and create responsibly.

Empower Learners and Educators: Equip students and staff with the skills to use AI thoughtfully, creatively, and ethically—fostering inquiry, problem-solving, and collaboration. Encourage responsible use that balances human judgment with AI support, and cultivate integrity by acknowledging AI’s role in the learning process.
Integrate AI Across Learning: Embed AI concepts and tools across disciplines to enrich teaching, personalize learning pathways, and prepare students for AI-driven industries and global challenges. Use AI to support creativity, experimentation, and diverse perspectives while maintaining critical engagement with information sources.
Uphold Ethical and Responsible Use: Establish clear guidelines and policies that ensure privacy, equity, transparency, and academic honesty. Address issues such as plagiarism, overreliance on AI, and the importance of verifying AI-generated information.

AI Use Across the School

At AISL, we take a thoughtful and developmentally appropriate approach to the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in learning. Our goal is to help students build understanding, confidence, and responsibility as they grow into capable and ethical users of AI.

Lower Primary (Early Years – Grade 3)
Students do not use AI directly. Learning focuses on recognizing patterns, logical thinking, and exploring simple digital tools that lay the foundation for future AI understanding.
Upper Primary (Grades 4–5)
Teachers demonstrate how AI works through guided examples and discussions. Students observe and explore concepts but do not use AI independently.
Secondary School (Grades 6–10)
Students begin to use AI tools in a structured and supervised environment. Teachers model responsible use, and clear guardrails ensure that AI supports—rather than replaces—student thinking and creativity.
Senior Secondary (Grades 11–12)
Students use AI tools to enhance research, analysis, and creativity, guided by teachers who mentor scholarly and ethical use of AI.
AI Literacy
Dedicated AI literacy lessons are offered from Grades 4–12, helping students understand how AI works, how to use it responsibly, and how it shapes the world around them.
