Dear Primary Families,
As we continue our journey through the school year, we are excited to highlight our current core value: Integrity. At AISL, we believe that integrity is a fundamental value in shaping global citizens. We tell our students that integrity is being honest, doing the right thing even when no one is watching, and keeping promises to others and yourself.
Integrity is a lifelong journey shaped by choices and challenges. Students will face moments where the easier path isn’t the right one, and sometimes, they will make mistakes. Our role as educators and parents is not just to correct them but to help them learn and grow with guidance and grace. Think back to elementary school—perhaps a classmate dropped their lunch money, and no one else saw. There was a choice: keep it or return it. Choosing honesty helped shape who we became, but even mistakes were part of our learning. With the support of teachers, parents, and mentors, we grew to understand that integrity is built through both successes and failures. Likewise, as we guide our students, we help them develop the courage to choose integrity, knowing that every challenge is an opportunity to grow.
This month, students will engage in discussions during morning meetings that help them reflect on the importance of integrity in their daily lives. We encourage you to continue these conversations at home by discussing real-life examples and modeling integrity in everyday situations.
