News from the Early Childhood and Elementary School

Dear Primary (EC/ES) Families,

We are excited to invite you to our upcoming Back to School Night on September 3rd, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. This event is an excellent opportunity for you to learn about the curriculum, daily schedules, communication, procedures, attendance policies and other important topics that will shape your child’s educational experience this year. 

During Back to School Night, you will have the opportunity to meet with all of your child’s teachers, including homeroom teachers, specialist teachers, and instructional assistants. This is a valuable time to ask questions, connect with other parents, and gain a deeper understanding of AISL’s educational approach. However, please note that this is not the time to discuss individual students—those conversations should be reserved for separate meetings. 

The evening will be structured to accommodate parents with more than one child. Homeroom teachers will present three times, allowing you to visit different classrooms. Specialist teachers will also offer drop-in sessions to provide additional insights into their programs. All sessions will take place in the classrooms and you are highly encouraged to meet and greet all teachers. 

Here’s the schedule for the evening:

 • 5:00 pm - 5:10 pm > Refreshments in the Courtyard

 • 5:10 pm - 5:40 pm > Session 1 

 • 5:45 pm - 6:15 pm > Session 2

 • 6:20 pm - 6:50 pm > Session 3

REMINDERS

• Ensure that you send a water bottle to school with your child each day. 

• Early Childhood (EC) playground is just for our littlest ones—EC, Kindergarten, and Grade 1 students.

• Elementary School (ES) playground is reserved for Grade 2 through Grade 5 students.
