Primary (EC/ES) Connect - 3 October 2025

Dear Primary Families,

A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful PTO for making Nigerian Culture Day such a success! Students, teachers, and families truly enjoyed their time together on Tuesday, September 30th. We are so grateful for your hard work, dedication, and creativity in organizing such an incredible event for our community. Thank you for bringing us all together to celebrate and create lasting memories!

As we begin October, let’s focus on the wonderful things happening this month. We’d like to start by congratulating our newly elected student council members, we are so proud of them! Student leadership is an essential part of our AISL mission, where every voice counts.

AISL provides exceptional learning experiences within a global community where all voices count. We spark the inspiration in students to be the best version of themselves so that they can joyously soar on their own paths of learning, growing, leading, and contributing as world citizens.

At AISL, “student voice” means giving students the opportunity to explore real issues they care about and empowering them to develop solutions. It also means sharing power and trusting students with the challenges of making positive changes in our school community.

Last year, our student council advisors created many opportunities for students to participate in important community projects. For example, our students collaborated with the Tarkwa student council on a shared mural project, helping both schools develop leadership skills.

Through these initiatives, we’ve learned how valuable it is to honor students’ perspectives and encourage them to work together and share their ideas, and we look forward to what is to come this year.

During their first meeting this academic year, our Student Ambassadors had the wonderful opportunity to get to know each other better and share what they love about AISL. They reflected on areas where they can grow and discussed the leadership qualities they hope to contribute to our school community. The students agreed that one simple yet meaningful way they can demonstrate leadership is by encouraging their peers to write thank you letters to staff members. We are proud of their enthusiasm and commitment to making AISL a welcoming and appreciative environment.

Here are some photos capturing the positive energy from our first meeting with the Student Ambassadors.
