Primary (EC/ES) Connect - 7 March 2025

Dear Primary Families,

Holi Festival Next Friday

Next Friday (14 of march) Holi Festival will occur on the AISL track for EC-12 students, teachers and parents from 12:00-13:00. This parent and student initiated event will consist of some dance performances (10 minutes) and a powder paint "fight" on the field, all occurring to the sounds uplifting Indian music! We would love parents to join in the fun.

For those of you who are new to AISL please see this X (Twitter) post to see last year’s event. Previous years the event took place smoothly, Holi was enjoyed by all. Any fears of mayhem, permanent stains, tears and complaints were unfounded.

The powder paint (provided by AISL) is non toxic and washable, but just in case, students and participating parents should arrive on the day dressed in old clothes; preferably something white. Swimming goggles and sunglasses are optional. Should any children wish to opt out they may watch from the side.

After School Activities (ASAs)
The third trimester is scheduled to begin on March 31st and will end on June 5th. We kindly request that you pick up your students at 2:30 PM.

Uniform Reminders
This is an important reminder that students are expected to wear their uniform daily.

Students should be in uniform each day. On Fridays, elementary students may wear their house t-shirts with either their school uniform bottoms (shorts, skirts, pants) or PE shorts (if they have PE on Fridays).

Behavior Expectations
We greatly value your partnership and continue to reinforce our core values each day. We encourage students to show respect, responsibility, empathy, integrity, and courage—values we hope will become an integral part of who they are.

Thank you for your continued support.
