Primary (EC/ES) Connect - 2 May 2025

Dear Primary Families,

As we look forward to May, we're excited about a month packed with learning celebrations, including musical performances and art celebrations. It's also a time filled with meaningful learning and assessments. Every day counts and is important as we approach the final stretch with only 28 days left until June 11th. This year has been great, and our goal is to finish strong. Thank you for your support and collaboration!

EARTH DAY POETRY WINNERS

We are thrilled to celebrate the creativity and care for our planet shown by our Primary School students through our Earth Day Poetry Contest! A big congratulations to all the students who participated. Your poems were thoughtful, inspiring, and full of heart.

We would especially like to recognize the winners of this year's contest.

G1 - Anas    G2 - Ray    G3 - Rachelle    G4 - Nihira    G5 - Larene

Your words reminded us of the beauty of our Earth and the importance of protecting it. WELL DONE!

CORE VALUES WEEK

Celebrating What Makes Us Eagles!

We are excited to share the Core Values Week prepared by our Student Council Ambassadors. Every day we will focus on one of those values reminding our students to exhibit them in their daily interactions. Students are encouraged to wear the colours that represent the Core Values on the designated days. Students' efforts will be celebrated on the Student Council's bulletin board! Your support in promoting and embodying these values is really appreciated as we reinforce their importance to our school community. Thank you for your dedication!

[5-9 May - Core Values Week]

🎬 Upper Elementary Movie AfternoonMay 9
As a fun finale to Core Values Week, the Elementary Student Council Ambassadors are hosting a special Movie Afternoon for Upper Elementary students (G3-5) on Friday, May 9 from 1:00–2:30 PM in the MPR. We'll be screening the second half of Young Woman and the Sea, a powerful story that highlights our Core Value of Courage.

🎟️ Tickets are 2,000 naira cash, payable at the door. The PTO will also be selling snacks like popcorn! All proceeds support a collaborative mural project between AISL and a partner school in Tarkwa Bay.

👉 Please register your child using this link.

This event is designed as a fundraiser for the mural project that is an exciting collaboration between AISL and the Glory Montessori School from Tarkwa Bay.
