Dear Primary Families,

As we enter next week and celebrate Thanksgiving, let’s take a moment to be thankful for everything that makes our community special. We are grateful for our students who come to school each day ready to learn and grow, for our dedicated teachers and staff who pour their hearts into creating meaningful learning experiences, and for our families who partner with us!

This season is a reminder of how much stronger we are when we support one another. Thank you for your trust, your encouragement, and the joy you bring to AISL. We wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving week filled with connection and gratitude.

Next week, Thanksgiving class celebrations will take place on Wednesday, 26 November from 11:00am-  12:00pm. Dismissal will follow at 12:00pm.

Early Dismissal on Wednesday, 26 November @ 12:00pm

PRIMARY DECEMBER CELEBRATION: ONCE ON A HOUSETOP

ONCE ON A HOUSETOP - DECEMBER 5 PERFORMING ARTS HOLIDAY CELEBRATION

December is just around the corner, which means it is nearly time for our Primary Grades 2–5 Performing Arts Holiday Celebration. This year, students in Grades 2–5 will present the musical “Once on a Housetop” on 5 December at 11:30am in the Gym

This joyful production highlights themes that reflect the spirit of the season, including family, unity, love, kindness, and generosity. We warmly invite you to join us as we celebrate this special time of year and enjoy the many talents our students will share. We look forward to seeing you there!

PRIMARY VISUAL ARTS EXHIBITION

We warmly invite you to the Grade 2–5 Art Show, a celebration of our students’ creativity, growth, and dedicated learning throughout the semester. Through rich, inquiry-driven learning engagements, students have explored a range of artistic techniques, materials, and concepts; applying the Elements of Art, developing strong studio habits, and expressing their ideas with increasing confidence. This exhibition highlights not only the final artworks, but also the creative thinking, risk-taking, and reflective processes that guided their work. It is a joyful opportunity for families and teachers to witness the deep learning that takes place in our Visual Arts program and to honor the students’ hard work. We hope you will join us for an inspiring and festive evening as we celebrate our young artists and the meaningful learning behind their creations.

HOLIDAY START AND END DATES

As we look toward the holiday season, we kindly ask that you keep the school calendar in mind when making travel plans. It is very important for students to be present at school until the last day before the break and to return on the first day back in January. School ends on 12 December and resumes on 5 January.

Thank you for your collaboration and support. We look forward to a successful and engaging term ahead!
