Primary (EC/ES) Connect - 10 October 2025

Dear Primary Families,

We hope this message finds you well. We’d like to share some important updates about upcoming progress reports and Eagle Day Conferences.

PROGRESS REPORTS

Progress reports will be shared with families on Friday, 17 October. These reports will give you valuable insights into your child’s ATLS - Approaches to Learning Skills.

EAGLE DAY CONFERENCES

30 October, 12:30pm - 3:45pm

31 October, 7:30am - 3:45pm

As in previous years, Eagle Day Conferences will follow the same format. Students will not participate in the conferences themselves but will be setting learning goals that will be shared with parents. These conferences are designed specifically for parents to meet with their child’s teachers and provide a valuable opportunity to discuss your child’s progress and identify next steps in their learning journey.

The conference booking schedule will be available on 15 October for parents with more than one child and it will open on 17 October for all other parents in Veracross. Please be sure to schedule meetings not only with your child’s homeroom teachers but also with their specialist teachers.

We appreciate your continued support and look forward to meeting with you during the conferences.

EARLY DISMISSAL ON THURSDAY, 30 OCTOBER

Please note that students will have an early dismissal on Thursday, 30 October. Students will be dismissed at 12:00 pm, and Eagle Day Conferences begin promptly at 12:30 pm. Please be sure to schedule your conference times accordingly, and we appreciate your support in ensuring a smooth transition into the afternoon sessions.

ERIN KENT CONSULTING VISIT: Writing in Primary

We are excited to welcome Keesha Archard from Erin Kent Consulting to our campus next week. Ms. Archard will work closely with the Primary Division to deepen our understanding of the latest research in writing instruction and support teachers in strengthening how we teach writing across grade levels.

As part of her visit, she will also host a Parent Session on Thursday, 17 October, focused on supporting young writers at home. During this session, parents will gain practical strategies and ideas for nurturing their child’s confidence and development as a writer.
