An experienced educational leader with over 30 years' experience in both US and International Schools (Bangladesh, Tanzania, Zambia, Brazil), "Tom" brings a passion for putting student-learning at the heart of leading AISL into the future.

We are friends that become family.

Greetings and a warm welcome to the American International School of Lagos (AISL). We are located on Victoria Island in the heart of the business and financial center of Lagos, Nigeria.

AISL is a non-profit, independent day school that serves students ages 3-19. Accredited by the Council of International Schools (London, UK) and the Middle States Association of Schools and Colleges (Philadelphia, US), AISL offers an inquiry-based early childhood program and a complementary American/International standards-based program in the elementary school (grades 1-5), middle school (grades 6-8), and high school (grades 9-12). AISL students have an opportunity to earn an American High School Diploma as well as the prestigious International Baccalaureate Diploma. These qualifications, along with the AISL experience, allow students to gain admission to highly competitive colleges and universities around the world.

AISL is a  close-knit school with a diverse community committed to providing students exceptional learning experiences in an environment where all voices count . Ultimately, we want our students to be the best version of themselves and be equipped to create a just and sustainable world. Our talented and committed multinational faculty strives to achieve our mission and vision by challenging students intellectually while supporting their physical, social, and emotional well-being. Working in partnership with parents, AISL supports students to develop their talents and pursue their interests and passions in academics, arts, technology, athletics, and global citizenship. AISL also encourages students to develop an appreciation for and understanding of Nigeria and to celebrate the diversity of the more than 40 nationalities on campus. Tomorrow's diplomatic, business, educational, artistic and scientific leaders are enrolled in our school today.

If our values resonate with you, then please reach out to our Admissions Officer, Ms. Bitrus. She will be happy to guide you and your family through the AISL admissions process

As we say in Nigeria and at AISL, "YOU ARE WELCOME!" I hope to see you on campus.
