AISL Team Sports

AISL boys prepare themselves for football game.

AISL offers the opportunity for students to experience and participate in sports at both the local and international levels. The school fields competitive teams in soccer, volleyball, basketball, and swimming. Both boys and girls competitive teams are held to a high standard of commitment. The expectations for students include attending all practices, remaining in academic good standing, exhibiting a strong work ethic, and demonstrating good sportsmanship.

AISL is proud of the achievements of our scholar athletes over the past few years. The school is an active member of the West African International School Athletic League (WAISAL). For the 2011/2012 school year there is quite a full schedule. To begin with, our school will be hosting the annual WAISAL swim meet. Our high school volleyball teams will be traveling in the fall to Abuja and Ghana for tournaments. The basketball team is scheduled to visit Senegal in the spring for competitions. The sporting year will end with AISL hosting the WAISAL soccer tournament.

Ages range from elementary competitive teams in soccer and basketball, (grades 4 & 5), to a full schedule of sports teams in the middle and high school.
