MUN - Model United Nations

The High School Model United Nations Club at AISL engages students in an authentic simulation of the United Nations system by learning about the UN, the skills of debate, compromise, conflict resolution and negotiation. MUN team members have fun learning about the workings of world diplomacy through the lens of current events.

Some of the skills students will be learning in MUN include debate, public speaking, international affairs, negotiation, conflict resolution, writing draft resolutions, plotting strategy and understanding UN rules and procedures. They may also earn the possibility of traveling to regional and/or international MUN Conferences held annually in places such as Egypt, Ghana, Beijing, Sri Lanka or Zimbabwe. This is an earned privilege that comes as a result of faithful attendance to all meetings, hard work, constructive participation and a genuine willingness to make the world a better place.
