Citizens of the World Society

The Citizens of the World Society (COWS) aims to make a difference, not only at the school level, but also in to other parts of the world. This society works tirelessly to raise the awareness of the community about the waste and pollution that is produced at a local, national and international level. COWS aims to demonstrate that a few can make a difference in the environment and that change is possible.  

The Mission of COWS is to improve the quality of the environment for all people through the efforts of its members to reuse, reduce and recycle. They inform the community of the importance of a clean environment, and teach people the methods of achieving such. COWS is open to all high school students at the start of every school year and then again in January.

Members of this society must be committed to making a difference. Through this society, members learn the effects of their actions on the world as a whole, gain a greater understanding of the living conditions of people in their community and raise their awareness of their impact on the environment.
