AISL Visual Arts

The art program emphasizes the teaching of the elements of design -line, color, texture, shape, form, space and value - through various creative media: drawing, painting, collage, creative needlework, weaving, fabric designing, junk modeling and ceramics. The principles of design - emphasis, balance, movement, rhythm and unity - in a composition are taught according to the readiness of the students.

Middle School exploratory program is a basic art and design course.  The student learns in depth the elements and principles of design that are the fundamentals for all artworks.  We explore the creative process that each and everyone is capable of achieving. The AISL art program will help the student with their perception skills through their creative endeavors such as drawing, painting, photography, collage and sculpture. Students will gain knowledge about artists and their styles, art history, art criticism, and various art careers.
