Greetings from the President of the Board of Directors!

It is my pleasure to serve as President of the Board of Directors and extend greetings to those who visit our website. There are many things that make me so proud to be associated with AISL which begins its’ 47th year here in Lagos, Nigeria. First is the community because education is truly valued at this school which allows our faculty, parents, and students to be aligned as to the importance of high expectations and a quality education. The community is actively engaged with the school and it shows because the results speak for themselves. Second, the faculty is outstanding. We believe the faculty here is second to none. They work extremely hard to deliver an excellent academic program with high expectations and bring lots of energy and fun to AISL.
I want to personally welcome our new Superintendent Mr. Tim Travers and our new High School Principal Mr. Garth Wyncoll to AISL and will ensure the Board of Directors work with our new administration to continue the pursuit of excellence. With Mr. Travers, Mr. Wyncoll and the other new teachers arriving to join an already stellar group of educators here at AISL, I am very confident saying that the school will continue to provide an exceptional educational experience for all students.
I have served on the Board of Directors for the last six years and have a keen sense of where the school has been and where we want to go. With this said, we all are extremely excited about the Lekki High School Campus opening soon. Although we have had some unfortunate delays, I can see the end in sight and look forward to the day our high school students and staff can relocate to the new campus. We as a Board of Directors are working hard to complete the first phase of the project and we thank you for your understanding and patience as we work through all the issues to get to completion. It has not been easy.
AISL is indeed a special place that brings people from all over the world together. I truly value the special bond and relationships that are formed as a result of our rich diversity which reflects the 55 different cultures represented in our school. I am proud of our academic standards and more importantly that character matters to all. 2011-2012 at AISL will be an exciting year and we look forward to the challenges and opportunities.
Again, I welcome you to AISL and appreciate you taking the time to visit our site.
Mr. Joseph Lunsford
President
AISL Board of Directors
